July 18, 2019: Aqua Metals, the lead battery recycling company, added two members to its management team this month, announcing the appointment of Feng Han as vice president of licensing and pricing on July 9 and Susanne Meline as independent director on July 8.
Feng Han has joined Aqua Metals from the medical science firm X-Cutag Therapeutics, where he was chief business officer driving global business strategy and licensing. Before that, Han worked in licensing at chemicals firm DuPont for 10 years, including some years in Chicago.
“After seeing first hand the maturity of the AquaRefining technologies, I knew that I could make a direct impact as the company executes its growth plan to license these technologies on a global basis, beginning with delivering the world’s first licensing package to Clarios,” he said.
“With key partnerships already in place, I look forward to engaging with additional global operators that have an interest in licensing this innovative, environmentally cleaner way to recycle.”
Susanne Meline is from a financial background and remains as lead independent director and audit chair of the combustion technology firm ClearSign, which designs, develops and markets technologies that aim to improve key performance characteristics of combustion systems. Before that, she co-founded Francis Capital Management, where she spent 15 years as special situations analyst.
“I am excited to bring my experience working alongside small cap companies to support Aqua Metals as it looks to grow beyond its facility in Nevada and create a world class organization,” she said.
Aqua Metals now has seven on its board, including S. Shariq Yosufzai as chairman and Steve Cotton as CEO and president.
