Lead battery recycling consultancy sets up in Singapore 150 150 Batteries International

July 16, 2020: Nishchay Chadha, a former metals trader, has set up a recycling company to help companies in Asia improve and expand their battery recycling operations with new and efficient standards, he told BESB on July 15.

Chadha, who has traded lead at companies including Vedanta Resources, Viant Commodities, Trafigura and Kyen Resources, has based ACE Recycling in Singapore.

His team will provide consulting services to lead battery recyclers and biomedical waste disposal firms in the region.

“Our model is to partner people and support people who are already working on this — we go and help with their finances, or marketing reach, supply chain support — we act like a blend of a private equity player and a trading company; we’re not building the technology ourselves but we can advise on it,” he says.

The company’s website makes a puzzling statement: “ACE is disrupting the Lead Recycling Industry by leveraging its global network to deploy oxygen emitting, low capex, modular and profitable lead recycling systems.”
