July 1, 2022: EnerSys updated the market on June 23 about its moves to expand its reach into energy storage tech from its lead and lithium batteries production base.
Joern Tinnemeyer, CTO of EnerSys, hosted a virtual ‘Tech Talk’ focused on the company’s “technology evolution from traditional lead batteries to fully integrated technology solutions across energy storage, power electronics, and software and services”.
Tinnemeyer said EnerSys was “transitioning into a technology company” — with battery management and software platforms and fast charge and storage among growth opportunities.

In annual results posted on May 25 EnerSys reported a 13% increase in sales. The company said net sales for the full year ended March 31,were $3.36 billion compared to just under $3 billion in the year ago period.
