September 7, 2023: Battery Council International announced on September 6 it had won a platinum ‘dotCOMM’ team achievement award for one of the organization’s key communication programs.
The 2023 award — for the Advancing Lead Battery Communications Initiative (ALBCI) — comes from an international competition recognizing excellence in web creativity and digital communications, which is run and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
Platinum is the highest level of award and is for the newly-created team achievement category.
The honour follows BCI securing a gold dotCOMM award for its recently relaunched website, as reported by Batteries International last month.
In addition to BCI and its strategic marketing partner, Activated Growth, team companies receiving the platinum recognition are Clarios, East Penn Manufacturing, Ecobat, EnerSys, Interstate Batteries, Redland Energy Group, Stryten Energy, The Doe Run Company and Teck Resources.
BCI’s VP of strategic communications, Lisa Dry, has managed the ALBCI program since its launch in 2017.
Dry said: “Receiving the Team Achievement Award for our collective body of work is an honour that resonates both professionally and personally.
“Professionally, it signifies the remarkable power of collaboration, where diverse talents unite with a shared purpose to drive meaningful change.”
Personally, Dry said the award reflects the dedication and passion of each team member.
“Together, we’ve harnessed innovation and perseverance to illuminate how a brighter, sustainable future is possible with lead batteries.”
