September 7, 2023: A new partnership aimed at strengthening the lead battery industry supply chain was announced by TBS Engineering and Inbatec on September 1.
The companies’ distribution agreement links products from TBS’s aftermarket division, launched last year, to Inbatec’s European distribution and services network.
TBS managing director Richard Taylor said Inbatec’s scale and expertise would support moves to expand and improve TBS services and customer support.
“Like TBS, Inbatec is a recognized global leader in battery equipment supply with world class design, manufacturing and supply operations for battery formation and related services.
“Given the competitive nature of the energy storage market, it is even more critical that our customers have the right part, at the right time.”
Inbatec MD Christian Papmahl said his company has links with many of TBS’s customers and the agreement would enhance Inbatec’s credibility.
“Along with our partner company, Kustan, we have formed a strong team, which is highly skilled and experienced in battery formation processes, chemical storage, and plastic plant engineering. TBS has similar skills and experience in assembly.”
