April 25, 2019: Excitement is building in the run-up to Battery Council International’s annual meeting in the US. The 2019 Big Energy Convention and Power Mart Expo kicks off this Sunday (April 28) in the home of jazz, New Orleans, with the famous BCI golf tournament at 11.30am.

One of the most eagerly awaited events is the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Innovations Award, the candidates for which are all detailed in Batteries International’s BCI Yearbook.

They are: Abertax, Battery Rescue Australia, Customized Energy Solutions, Daramic, Microporous, Narada, Philadelphia Scientific, Power Sonic, RSR Technologies, Terrapure and Voltific.

Keynote speakers at this year’s convention include Curt Hébert of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Thomas Cubbage from the US Department of Energy, as well as presentations from well known experts from the industry.

The second Women in the Lead Battery Industry Networking Reception, sponsored by Batteries International, is being held at 4pm on the following day.
