February 27, 2020: The program for the next BCI conference, to be held in Henderson near Las Vegas on April 26-28, has firmed up with an exciting list of speakers and events.

The keynote speakers are Marc Zoellner, president of EUROBAT and head of one of Europe’s most innovative battery manufacturers, Hoppecke, and Tom Sullivan, the vice president for small business policy at the US Chamber of Commerce and a champion of free enterprise. He first worked for former president George W Bush in 2002.

Although the conference officially kicks off with the welcome reception at 6pm on the Sunday, BCI has organized a sightseeing event — a tour of the Hoover Dam, which includes transport to the dam and lunch at the Boulder Dam Brewing Company.

Also on the Sunday is BCI’s annual golf tournament (with shotgun start) at 11am.

The following morning of the conference proper, Dave Shaffer, president of BCI and EnerSys Inc, will kick off the meetings before the now annual presentation of the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz award for innovation.

Further presentations will be followed by the opening of the Power Mart Expo at noon, the power hour at 4pm and the Women in the Lead Battery Industry Networking Reception from 5pm-6pm.

There will also be a regular shuttle service on the Monday to the Strip, the heart of Las Vegas.

The following day there will be a closing reception in the afternoon.

BCI has already welcomed two new team members to their events and tradeshow team. Shelby Fulkerson will be taking over as the BCI convention manager. She has a long experience in event planning and management. Liz Orr will take over as the BCI events associate and will help with the convention and tradeshow management.
