May 6, 2021: Wirtz Manufacturing has set up a company-wide Covid-19 vaccination programme for all of its staff and their families, the firm announced on April 13.

The vaccines will be carried out in a newly created health care and vaccination clinic at the company’s headquarters in Port Huron, Michigan, and the firm has even managed to fly in some of its overseas employees to take advantage, it says.

The firm will provide the Moderna vaccine, which is taken in two 0.5ml doses given four weeks apart.

“Our goal is to ensure the safety and security of everyone in our team,” said Doug Lambert, vice president Sales & Technology. “It’s not mandatory, but advised. We are committed to giving everybody maximum care so we can continue to provide our customers with commercial and technical support as always.”
