September 9, 2024: International battery company, EnerSys, announced on LinkedIn this week that they ‘were thrilled to share’ the firm had been recognized by Forbes as one of the best employers for new graduates.
“This prestigious honor highlights our unwavering dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic environment where new graduates can thrive and grow,” they said.
The announcement follows the news last month that the company had closed the acquisition of a $208 million acquisition of Bren-Tronics, a manufacturer of portable power products for defense customers, including small and large format lithium batteries.
In all, it’s been a busy year for the industrial battery giant. In April they were awarded the Better Project Award from the US Department of Energy Better Plants Program for advancing lead battery technology, specifically for the implementation of the Sovema Cold Cube cutting system. It was the second award that EnerSys has received in two years from the government. And in the same week they announced the internal promotion of Mark Matthews to the role of president, specialty global.
