Gravita India has posted adjusted consolidated EBITDA of Rs 452 crore ($47 million) for the fiscal year ended in March 2026 ― aided by a slight growth in lead sales.
The lead recycling company reported a 7% increase in sales in the lead segment of its business, amounting to 49,000 tonnes per annum in fiscal 2026.
CEO Yogesh Malhotra presented the figures in an earnings conference call on May 8.
Meanwhile, a 45,000tpa capacity expansion at Gravita’s Phagi lead recycling plant is set to take effect this year.
Malhotra said the company was ready to start the increased production at Phagi but was waiting on various government approvals.
Capacity expansion across Gravita’s recycling sites is designed to boost operational efficiencies, optimise logistics and better serve key export markets, he said.
On the firm’s fledgling lithium recycling operations, alongside lead at its Mundra plant in Gujurat, Malhotra said no significant revenue was expected this year.
“It is just a pilot project where we are trying to understand the technology.”
Initial processing capacity at the pilot level of 6,000tpa is still focused on black mass while a second part of the facility, now under construction, will refine and extract lithium and other minerals.
Meaningful processing of lithium batteries is not expected until around fiscal 2029, he said.
