August 21, 2024: Clarios has launched a new line of AGM batteries under its Delkor brand in Australia and New Zealand.

Clarios said on August 15 the 12V Delkor xEV batteries are designed to work in tandem with high-voltage batteries, playing a critical role in the vehicle’s power architecture.

Delkor xEV is optimized for extended energy throughput and power pulse support, addressing the unique demands of EVs and hybrids, the company said.

Whether the vehicle is parked, in motion, or experiencing a system failure, Clarios said the batteries ensure optimal performance and crucial safety functionalities.

The batteries incorporate a proprietary active material that offers resistance to wear out, precision-engineered plates for consistent cycling, and wrought alloy proprietary grids for durability under extreme conditions.

Amarpreet Ahuja, Oceania country head for Clarios, said xEV is the natural extension of the Delkor battery range.
