February 10, 2022: Battery testing and formation company — known for both lead and lithium products — Digatron announced a partnership on January 18 to support battery diagnosis technology firm Safion’s push into international markets.

Digatron said it was joining forces with the fellow Aachen, Germany-based company for knowledge exchange and to support the ramping up of Safion’s global sales.

Safion, which was formed in 2019 out of research into lithium-ion batteries at RWTH Aachen University, uses its proprietary innovative measurement technology for battery quality assessment and diagnosis.

Digatron founder and owner Rolf Beckers said: “Safion’s technology is the right product at the right time, and it will be the solution to the upcoming challenges of the battery industry and e-mobility.

“I see great potential here, because the global interest in this technology is very high, and I am convinced that this partnership will be an asset for both companies and achieve common goals.”

The partners said they would break down barriers between their respective products as their collaboration moves forward.

Digatron’s battery cyclers play a “significant part for Safion’s testing solutions and will be the focus” of the collaboration, the companies said.
