February 10, 2022: Lead mining and recycling company Doe Run said on January 18 that it had hired Jan Lott to take up the new post of vice-president human resources.

Lott, who was most recently vice-president of human resources at US law firm Armstrong Teasdale, will lead the St Louis, Missouri-based company in setting human resources strategies, developing and training employees and recruitment.

Lott has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, people management, and coaching and professional development.

Doe Run CEO and president Matthew Wohl said Lott would provide “additional strategic guidance over how we manage our most important resource — our people”.

Wohl said Lott would help attract new employees “as we continue to meet the world’s growing demand for the lead, zinc, and copper concentrates produced from our mines and the lead metal from our recycling facility.”

Doe Run’s Resource Recycling facility in Boss, Missouri, is one of the world’s largest single-site lead battery recycling plants.

Resource Recycling annually recycles nearly 400 million pounds of lead-bearing materials, including about 8.5 million recycled lead batteries.
