March 26, 2026: Battery giant East Penn Manufacturing has been ranked as one of the best places to work in two US states and at a national level.

The lead battery producer confirmed the honours on March 24, saying the firm had been named as one of the best placed to work in Pennsylvania and Texas in 2025 — as well as one of the 2026 best places to work in manufacturing nationally.

The rankings came from the Best Companies Group (BCG), an independent research and consulting firm that specializes in identifying and recognizing the best places to work around the world.

BCG said the national manufacturer honour is presented to firms across the US and Canada that have demonstrated a strong dedication to creating an inspiring, engaging, and supportive workplace for their teams. This is the second consecutive year East Penn has been recognized.

In Pennsylvania, the recognition is a joint effort of the BCG and organizations including Lehigh Valley Business. This is the 22nd year that East Penn has been named to that list.

In Texas, the recognition is a project of BCG and organizations including the Texas Association of Business and Texas Society of Human Resource Management — and is the first time East Penn’s Temple site in the state has made it to the list.

Both state lists derive from information supplied by companies along with results of confidential surveys of randomly selected employees.

Rob Ott, East Penn’s EVP and CCO, said: “The ongoing engagement and collaboration of our employees is a contributing factor to the supportive workplace that our teams operate within. It’s that type of environment that allows East Penn to continue providing quality products backed with service and integrity.”

The latest honours follow East Penn’s ranking by Forbes and Statista in August 2025 as one of America’s best employers for women in 2025 — the second time the firm had been named to the list.
