March 24, 2026: EnerSys has announced it has exceeded a milestone four million in global sales of one of its most advanced lead batteries.

The battery giant said on March 23 it had surpassed four million sales of its Hawker Armsafe Plus 6TAGM batteries — which feature the firm’s proprietary AGM thin plate pure lead tech.

The batteries are maintenance free and supply higher starting power, long service life, deep cycle capability and reliability across industrial and military applications, EnerSys said. These cover a range of military vehicles and auxiliary equipment including tactical vehicles and generators and renewable energy storage.

Features include a 30-month shelf life at 25°C and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 80°C and a 240-minute reserve capacity.

The lead and lithium manufacturer said the sales milestone underscores its investment in advanced energy storage solutions for mission-critical operations in defence and industrial markets worldwide.

Mark Matthews, CTO and president of specialty global at EnerSys, said the firm’s exclusive TPPL technology continued to set the standard for rugged durability, fast recharge, and long service life.

Meanwhile, EnerSys is showcasing the technology at the 2026 AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition in Alabama starting from March 24.

The Hawker milestone follows the launch by EnerSys last January of a new line-up of lead batteries designed for high-rate UPS applications in data-centers and critical power systems.
