February 13, 2020: EnerSys announced on February 11 that it had released two new thin plate pure lead battery ranges which it says makes the technology suitable for all materials handling vehicles.
The first is the launch of the NexSys Pure battery. This mixes TPPL technology with carbon in the active material formulation.
“It is powerful enough to offer a compelling alternative to lithium-ion in many applications, says Sorelle Metiendjo Tiam, advanced technologies product manager EMEA at EnerSys. “It offers outstanding cycling performance in PSoC operations and increased cycle life.
“Ii offers an attractive lower price alternative to lithium-ion for users seeking the highest level of performance.”
The second battery range is the NexSys Core battery a high-performance alternative to traditional lead-acid batteries. This is effectively an update and rebranding of the firm’s existing TPPL range.
