February 20, 2025: The chairman and MD of Indian lead battery recycler Gravita has been presented with a top award from the Material Recycling Association of India (MRAI).
Rajat Agarwal received the Global Recycler of the Year award during the International Material Recycling Conference held in Jaipur from January 28-30.
Gravita said the honour highlighted Agarwal’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing the recycling industry on a global scale.
His passion for innovation and sustainable solutions has been instrumental in our company’s success, the firm said.
Last month, Gravita announced it was on course to increase lead battery recycling capacity at its Mundra facility to 100,000 tonnes a year.
