September 9, 2024: Asian lead battery giant Leoch International and the Consortium for Battery Innovation are to co-host the Global Battery Innovation Conference in China next month.
Leoch said the Zhaoqing event, from October 22-25, will highlight industry trends and challenges, against a backdrop of China accounting for 50% of the world’s production and consumption of lead batteries.
As a key player in the global market, China is the ideal host for the conference, Leoch said on August 17.
The free-to-attend conference will bring together experts, researchers, companies and suppliers from across the lead battery industry worldwide.
Leoch said the program will cover developments from energy storage to automotive lead batteries and feature latest advances in technology and electrochemical research.
The initial list of conference speakers includes CBI director Alistair Davidson, Mark Stevenson, Eckhard Karden, Doug Lambert and Huw Roberts.
The full conference program and registration information is online.
