February 24, 2022: China-based battery manufacturing group Leoch said on February 4 it had received a quality supplier award from Jaguar Land Rover.

Leoch’s automotive segment management team was presented with the JLR ‘Excellent Supplier Award’ during a ceremony at the Leoch Anhui manufacturing plant in China, in recognition of the battery group’s management systems, continuous improvements and quality.

Leoch has been working with JLR on a range of automotive battery projects since 2015 — including supplying more than 120,000 AGM stop start batteries to JLR’s operations in China.

JLR’s director of supplier quality, Ian Davis, said Leoch had been recognized for “continuously pushing forward to meet the global standard of JLR for car products produced and sold in China — and because the “comprehensive performance of Leoch in quality, delivery, service and other performance is excellent”.

Leoch said the award was “a huge honour” for the entire battery group.
