Multi-chemistry company Stryten Energy has launched an AGM battery targeting the demanding needs of telecoms and electric utility sectors.
Stryten said on April 8 the E-Series AGM160/190 multi-terminal battery is built to withstand harsh environments and offer superior performance and reliability in long-duration discharge applications.
The maintenance-free battery has a spill-proof design allowing it to be mounted in any orientation — making it suitable for cabinet enclosures and standard relay rack trays — while supporting rapid charge with up to 80% depth of discharge.
The AGM160/190 is also available with front and top terminal options for enhanced flexibility.
Matt Gould, VP for industrial sales and service said the battery has been manufactured to withstand harsh telecom and utility environments.
“The launch of these network power batteries reflects Stryten’s extensive experience and leadership in VRLA battery technology.”
Analysis published by Stryten last November forecast that the market for original equipment EFBs will double by 2030, reflecting growing confidence in the technology’s ability to meet modern performance standards.
The company said OE manufacturers were increasingly turning to EFB battery tech to meet the power needs of modern vehicles, with more than 50% of new cars sold in the US equipped with start-stop or hybrid systems, and OEMs are responding by integrating EFBs into their designs.
