August 19, 2022: The Hammond Group has been praised for its research into sustainable lead battery technology during a visit to the company’s site in Indiana by state representative Mike Andrade.
Andrade toured Hammond’s ‘E=(LAB)2’ facility in July to find out more about how Hammond is advancing research in battery materials, cell manufacture and battery testing for next-generation batteries critical for a sustainable future.
Andrade, who is a member of the committee for commerce, small business and economic development committee in the Indiana House of Representatives, said: “Understanding the needs of the lead battery industry and how businesses like Hammond Group are taking action for a more sustainable future are key takeaways from this visit.”
Hammond, which has twice won the BCI Innovation Award, is a global manufacturer of lead battery oxides and speciality performance additives for energy storage applications ranging from cars and industrial uses to renewable energy.
