June 29, 2025: Eternity Technologies is preparing to launch operations at its North American HQ and cutting-edge battery manufacturing facility in Arizona.
Eternity said the $20 million development in Phoenix will be one of the first outside its flagship factory in the United Arab Emirates to deploy its state-of-the-art fill and formation system for the new QUASAR VRLA product series.
Eternity confirmed in March that it had chosen Phoenix for the project, after an extensive selection process during which it worked with the Arizona Commerce Authority and other local partners.
Phoenix was selected for its dynamic economic growth, business-friendly environment, strategic access to western US markets, and its diverse, highly-skilled workforce, Eternity said.
The planned BNSF freight rail facility, just outside Phoenix, further enhanced the location’s appeal.
The Deer Valley Business Park facility will feature advanced manufacturing technology to produce high-performance batteries tailored for industrial traction applications.
These include batteries for forklifts, power jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Additionally, the facility will manufacture reserve power solutions for renewable energy storage, battery backup systems, hybrid systems, solar streetlights, and emergency lighting.
John Semeniuk, president of Eternity Technologies North America, said the expansion reinforces the firm’s dedication to environmentally friendly, maintenance-free battery technologies and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Once operational later this year, Eternity’s plant will employ around 50 skilled professionals and boast what the firm claimed will be the world’s most advanced and environmentally friendly battery formation system.
Earlier this year, Eternity announced investment plans for a production hub in India on a site acquired from EnerSys.
That followed the lead battery manufacturer’s confirmation that it was joining forces with Enexa to ramp up sales of industrial batteries in Italy.
