December 16, 2025: Battery Council International has announced application deadlines for key awards that will be presented at its 2026 Convention + Power Mart Expo next May in Nashville.

The deadline for submissions for the BCI Innovation Award, in honour of Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz, is January 31, 2026.

The award recognizes innovations within the battery industry that align with the guidelines of sustainability, safety, cost, performance, uniqueness and value.

Submissions for the BCI Amplify Award, which recognizes highly effective and top-rated campaigns, programs or communications that serve to inform, educate and promote the battery industry, should also be made by January 31.

January 31 is also the deadline for BCI’s Battery Poster Research Showcase, which is open to undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral level researchers and assistants to share their latest work with delegates in Nashville.

Presenters will have the opportunity to connect directly with manufacturers, engineers, scientists, and industry leaders shaping the future of energy storage. Email info@batterycouncil.org for further information.
