April 16: Turkey’s Parsis Commerce, a leading battery components and materials exporter to the Middle East, has become an authorized distributor for Hammond Global.
Hammond, which announced the move on April 7, said the partnership would lead to a regional expansion of its advanced battery chemistry solutions, supported by Parsis’s established logistics and market presence.
Founded in 2004, Parsis supplies raw materials to a wide range of industries, including energy storage, telecoms, metallurgy, ceramics, and industrial manufacturing.
EMEA senior regional sales manager for Hammond, Nourhan Moustafa, said: “Parsis brings deep market insight and operational expertise that perfectly complement our battery innovations.
“Together, we’re well-positioned to deliver high performance battery solutions that help customers achieve measurable gains in reliability and performance across the region.”
Steve Barnes, MD of Hammond Expanders UK, said the partnership would strengthen Hammond’s ability to serve customers across the Middle East with greater speed, consistency, and reliability.
He said Parsis’s supply chain expertise ensures dependable access to Hammond’s products as demand continues to grow.
Based in Gateshead, England, Hammond Expanders UK supplies Europe, the Middle East and Africa as one of a number of the company’s production facilities delivering speciality chemicals and performance additives to lead acid battery manufacturers around the world.
Hammond Global, which has served the battery industry for over 95 years, offers market-leading breakthroughs such as GravityGuard, Treated SureCure, and Lign3x — all developed by Hammond researchers to improve lead acid battery performance and reliability.
