Steve Kay Steve Kay 'played huge role in long-term success of company'

US Battery Manufacturing Company has announced the death of former CFO Steve Kay.

Kay, who was the company’s CFO/partner for more then 30 years, died on January 15 aged 69, co-owner and COO Don Wallace told Batteries International on April 15.

Wallace said Kay’s knowledge of business and finance had played a huge role in the long-term success of the company.

“He will be sadly missed by everyone who has had the good fortune to have known and or worked with him over the years,” Wallace said.

Batteries International reported last February that US Battery Manufacturing, which celebrates its centenary this year, had become the latest member of the Consortium for Battery Innovation.

The CBI said the move highlighted the firm’s portfolio of deep-cycle batteries as the ‘go-to’ energy storage solution for a variety of applications.
