The founder and chairman of lead battery major Leoch International, Dong Li, has been re-elected as an executive director of the company.

Dong Li was re-elected following a poll of shareholders at Leoch’s annual general meeting last month, the company confirmed on May 15.

Also re-elected as executive directors of the company were Wu Kouyue and Hong Yu. They join independent non-executive directors Cao Yixiong Alan, Lau Chi Kit and Lu Zhiqiang.

Leoch announced in October 2025 that it had secured what it said was China’s first UL 9540 certification for its Epoch integrated energy storage system.

Certification of the 5MWh AC/DC lithium ESS, Epoch-S2580/5015-40L, marked a milestone in the group’s development of innovative systems that are recognised as meeting international standards, the company said.
