April 10, 2025: Delegates registered to take part in this year’s BCI convention in Texas already outpace last year’s centenary event.

BCI president and executive director Roger Miksad is urging those yet to register for the 2025 BCI Convention + Power Mart Expo in San Antonio, from May 4-7, to do so now.

In a pre-convention message, Miksad has urged the global battery community to secure their places quickly for what promises to be an unmissable event.

“I’m thrilled to report that BCI already had +500 paid delegates as of March 1 – a record pace that rivals last year’s once-in-a-century event.”

BCI’s keynote speaker this year is global geopolitical expert Peter Zeihan, who will give an industry-focused analysis of global trends in trade, economics, and politics. 

BCI said now, more than ever, it is critical for business leaders and decision makers to understand how these global trends will impact the industry over the coming decades.

Convention mainstays will include the presentation of the BCI Innovation Award, Amplify Award and the Battery Poster Research Showcase, for which a record number of submissions have been received.
