January 31, 2026: Clarios’s VP of public affairs and sustainability Elizabeth Tate has been appointed as vice-chair of Battery Council International’s communications committee.
BCI confirmed on January 27 Tate will support committee co-chairs Lisa Hartman and Karen Shaw — whose appointments were announced earlier this month.
All three battery sector executives succeed long-time committee chair Donna Snyder, continuing strong momentum in connecting with policymakers, industry stakeholders and boosting awareness of the battery industry, BCI said.
Batteries International reported in November that Snyder, the much-loved VP for marketing and advertising at East Penn Manufacturing, had stepped down after 42 years with the company.
Snyder started at the battery major in October 1983 as a graphic designer and rose through the ranks ending up as a director of marketing in the 1990s and finally becoming VP for marketing and advertising in 2006.
She was succeeded by East Penn veteran Joel Brady.
