April 10, 2025: C&D Technologies has announced a new partnership agreement with AJ Energie to power the energy storage market for datacenters, telecoms and utilities in Quebec.

C&D said on April 8 the agreement builds on an existing business relationship with AJ Energie, which supports a range of battery types including VRLA, VLA and lithium.

The collaboration strengthens C&D’s supply of battery tech to the Canadian province, backed by AJ Energie’s sales and support network.

C&D said the agreement guarantees its customers in Quebec continue to receive high quality service in French, with local invoicing and expert support.

Meanwhile, AJ Energie is actively expanding its operations, reinforcing its commitment to deliver reliable power solutions across the region.

Originally founded in 1999, AJ Energie was acquired in 2016 by industry veterans Yves Messier and David Sanelli. Together, they bring over 80 years of combined experience in network power and emergency battery solutions, specializing in sales and service.

Karen Pugliese, VP for global sales for C&D said AJ Energies’ in depth understanding of its power systems, products and the local market made them the ideal partner to represent customers in Quebec.

C&D was acquired by investment firm KPS Capital Partners in 2017.
