February 27, 2026: Canadian-headquartered lithium ion polymer firm Electrovaya said on February 24 it had secured orders worth more than $10 million.

Electrovaya said the orders are for an undisclosed Fortune 500 US-based customer and cover the firm’s Infinity battery systems, powering material handling electric vehicles at multiple distribution centers.

Infinity battery systems are engineered for demanding, high-duty-cycle applications, delivering exceptional safety, longevity, and performance for industrial electric vehicle fleets, the company said.

The orders boost comes ahead of the planned launch next month of Electrovaya’s first phase of battery system manufacturing in New York State.

The firm’s Jamestown campus, a 52-acre site with a 135,000 ft2 manufacturing facility, will be its first step toward producing lithium ion cells and battery systems in the country, with overall investments estimated to exceed $70 million over the first phase.

In addition to Jamestown, Electrovaya has two operating sites in Canada.

VP of business development Jeremy Dang said additional orders are anticipated as logistics customers expand their electrification plans.
