Fourth consecutive global ethics honour for Clarios

March 20, 2026: Clarios has been recognized as one of the world’s most ethical companies for the fourth consecutive year.

The lead and lithium battery giant said on March 18 it had again secured the designation from Ethisphere — a global organization that dedicated to defining and promoting ethical business practices.

Clarios said the recognition, which it first achieved in 2023, underscores its ability to operate successfully in a highly competitive, global environment while maintaining clear values, robust ethics and compliance practices and a deeply embedded ethical culture.

The firm said it has kept these qualities at the core of its strategy as it continues to develop low-voltage energy solutions and invest in next-generation technologies for the future of mobility.

The World’s Most Ethical Companies assessment is based on Ethisphere’s proprietary ‘ethics quotient’. This requires companies to describe and document key components of their ethics and compliance programs, including corporate governance, culture of ethics, speak-up practices, ESG-related approaches and third-party risk management.

Other companies honoured this year include power management company Eaton and Schneider Electric.

Clarios CEO Mark Wallace said: “We operate in a global, highly competitive industry that is transforming rapidly. This recognition reflects our conviction that long-term success is built on integrity, accountability and trust.”
Earlier this year, Clarios revealed plans to use its Meadowbrook plant in Michigan as an assembly site for supercapacitor systems.

The announcement came less than a year after Batteries International reported that the battery maker was evaluating sites in the US for a next generation technology campus anchored by new supercap system production.
