Amol Mehra has been appointed to the top leadership team of India’s Exide Industries.
Mehra told Batteries International on May 12 that he had joined the lead and lithium battery firm’s senior management personnel as of May 4.
He said he would continue to serve as Exide’s president and chief procurement officer.
Mehra has nearly 30 years of experience in commodities, including non-ferrous metals and coal as well as sales and trading and has worked for companies including Trafigura.
Prior to joining Exide in 2024, he was most recently chief business officer and joint president of Indian business incubator Adani Enterprise in the firm’s integrated resource management business.Last August, Exide outlined plans to invest more than Rs1,000 crore ($116 million) across its lead acid and lithium battery manufacturing businesses
