October 10, 2025 Natron Energy, the US sodium ion battery manufacturer that was recently shuttered last month, is set to auction off its assets shortly.
On offer will be $74 million sodium-ion battery plant equipment which goes on sale with over 250,000 square feet at two state-of-the-art facilities. Natron Energy was headquartered in Santa Clara in California with manufacturing facilities in Holland, Michigan.
Bidding at the auction starts on Tuesday, October 21 and closes at 10:30am (Pacific Time) on October 28 for the Santa Clara facility and at 10:30am (Pacific Time) on October 29 for the Holland plant.
These include late model battery manufacturing equipment, processing, vacuum outgassing and mixing systems, battery testers, lab and test equipment, stainless steel tanks, machine shop, material handling and plant support equipment.
Natron Energy closed down on September 3, due to a failure to secure sufficient funding to continue operations. The company said at the time that it would not be in a position to deliver on any current or future orders.
