February 9, 2026: East Penn Manufacturing subsidiary Navitas Systems is underscoring its expertise in lithium ion battery tech with a new company brand identity.
Navitas said on February 5 the rebrand including a new logo, highlights the firm’s capabilities in supplying what it said is a rapidly-expanding North American market for lithium innovation and battery production.
Navitas’s expertise spans pioneering cell research, integrated cell and pack development and precision manufacturing of lithium cells, modules and rugged battery systems for commercial, industrial and military applications.
The firm develops custom prismatic pouch cells across a wide range of sizes, capacities, and performance targets. Designs include advanced metal oxide chemistries, as well as silicon graphite, lithium metal, and lithium sulfur, engineered for operation in extreme environments.
John Sapp, Navitas president, said: “Our new brand reflects who we are today — a company defined by deep research expertise, advanced engineering, exceptional production knowhow, and a customer-first culture.
“With the strength of East Penn behind us, we are ready to lead the next era of battery innovation.”
Last May, East Penn won the 2025 BCI Amplify Award for Industry Leadership for its “Mission Possible” video campaign, which highlighted latest developments in domestic lithium and lead battery manufacturing and the company’s support for first responders and the military.
