Hammond Group has announced the appointment of Carlos Eduardo Pikel Perez as director of sales for Latin America.
Hammond said on June 2 that Perez had joined the company and would be based in São Paulo, Brazil.
Perez will lead Hammond’s commercial development drive across the Latin American market, playing a key role in the company’s continued global expansion strategy.
He brings more than 20 years of global commercial leadership experience in the energy, industrial, and advanced materials sectors, Hammond said.
Most recently, Perez worked as global VP of sales at Black Diamond Structures, a manufacturer of advanced carbon-based battery additives, where he managed a portfolio of 200+ strategic accounts.
Hammond said his direct experience selling into battery manufacturers throughout Latin America ― and his fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish ― gives Perez an immediate understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and the technical conversations that drive purchasing decisions in the region.
Perez said his goal is to build deep, lasting partnerships with customers across the region, understand their specific technical and commercial needs, and position Hammond as their most trusted and capable supplier.

Hammond said Perez’s appointment marks the latest step in the group’s expansion of its global commercial team, which in addition to Latin America spans the Asia-Pacific region and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
