January 9, 2026: The CEO of US company Remy Battery has confirmed expansion plans are underway to support the growth of the firm’s custom battery cable and wire manufacturing and assembly division.

Mike Moeller said the company is expanding into an additional, 8,270 ft2 facility, neighbouring its existing Milwaukee site, to grow its battery cable and wire manufacturing operations, adding new processing equipment and warehouse space.

Buildout is expected to be completed by late March of this year, Moeller said in a LinkedIn post on December 30.

Moeller did not disclose investment costs or details about what the move will mean in terms of production capacity.

Remy was established in 1931 and specializes in predominantly lead batteries, cables, and battery accessories.

Batteries International reported in 2022 that Remy had acquired family-run peer Challenger Battery Service in a deal signed in May.

Moeller took up the newly-created position of CEO at Remy in 2023. He had been president of the family business since 1992.
