May 15, 2025: Advanced lead battery tech developed by EnerSys has secured the global battery giant a major data center award.
The firm said on May 15 it had been presented with the Data Centre Backup Power Solution of the Year accolade at this year’s Data Centre Review Excellence Awards during a ceremony held in London.
The awards, judged by industry experts, highlight ‘the most impactful’ innovations across the data center sector.
EnerSys said its award spotlighted the firm’s EnVision Connect system monitor, which deploys thin plate pure lead battery tech, enables real-time visibility of critical battery parameters to enhance operational control.
The battery manufacturer announced last March the integration of advanced embedded technology into its DataSafe TPPL batteries.
The technology tracks key battery parameters such as voltage and temperature, enabling data centre operators to perform proactive maintenance and reduce battery related downtime.
Michael Sagar, director of marketing for energy systems said the award confirmed EnerSys’ role as a leader in the data center sector.
