June 8, 2017: Fiamm, the Italian battery producer and distributor, presented two new lead-acid battery ranges at the Autopromotec conference in Bologna between May 24 and 28.

The EnergyCUBE and PowerCUBE batteries have been designed to secure higher energy delivery for commercial vehicles. The company says it has improved cranking power in critical conditions, charging and discharging cycle durability and resistance to deep discharge cycles and vibrations.

Fiamm now has 11 battery models with AGM or EFB technology that are specifically designed for stop-start engines.

In February, Hitachi Chemical took control of Fiamm’s lead-acid battery business to give the Japanese firm a foothold in the European battery market.
